This church was remodeled with horizontal extension to the original church building. Carbon fiber was reinforced with epoxy adhesion and the connecting areas of the pillar, beam, and slab were all connected with metal panel or epoxy adhesion. We explained to the planner, constructor, and the supervisor about the difference the epoxy adhesion causes with concrete due to its different coefficient of linear expansion, and we changed and reinforced by using the non-adhesion method.
